A sustainable approach.
Our hardworking team takes pride in upholding clean and sustainable methods, ensuring that every garden we touch flourishes vibrantly and keeps you safe. We understand the significance of a well-tended garden and the impact it has on your wellbeing and the overall aesthetics of your home.
This means we do as much work as possible by hand. We do not weed wack and spray away the problem; we get down on our hands and knees and pull those weeds completely out by the roots. Ornamental trees and shrubs are carefully inspected and intentionally hand pruned to ensure the most vigorous growth and flowering for the plant.
What we are not.
We are not a traditional landscape. This means we do not design and install large projects, such as hardscape, pools, grading, drainage, or irrigation systems. If it requires large teams and heavy machinery, we are not your solution.
We are not a lawn care company. Our focus and specialty are on your foundational landscape plants and flower beds. In some cases, we can provide special mowing services (going on vacation or part of a larger project), but we do not offer regularly scheduled mowing plans. That section of the green industry is highly saturated as well as requiring expensive equipment and chemical services.
What makes us different.
Hand pruning and weeding are great ways to keep your plants healthy. Skilled gardeners can make precise cuts to help plants grow well and bloom, reducing the chance of disease and harm. Hand weeding lets gardeners remove unwanted plants without bothering the soil around them, keeping the good plants' delicate roots safe. These careful methods put the garden's health first, making the plants stronger and the environment more sustainable.
On the other hand, many landscaping companies use machines for pruning and weeding, which can lead to haphazard cuts and accidental harm to nearby plants. Also, using weed killers can hurt helpful bugs and soil health. By choosing hand pruning and weeding, gardeners can make sure their plants get careful attention without the risks of typical landscaping methods.

Hi I’m Haley, the owner and operator of Feral Garden Lady. Currently, I’m a single person LLC, so whether I’m digging around in your garden or designing its transformation, I’m doing it all. My love and passion for gardening started as a kid, when I’d help my mom set up our backyard for its yearly transformation every spring. We’d arrange planters and hanging baskets, sow our vegetable garden, and prep our foundational plants for the seasons (we had a lot of lilacs and fruit trees).
During my early years of college, I studied interior design and forestry. One summer I had a great opportunity to work for a wonderful lady who owned a gardening business, where I learned more about rose and hydrangea care, refined my maintenance techniques, and discovered the importance of winter prep. Life meandered in a few different directions after that, but I always maintained the desire to one day own my own business.
Prior to starting this business, I obtained a Master in Public Health and was working in clinic administration and wellness. The office setting took a toll on my mental and physical wellbeing, and I decided I needed a change, but what? Why not combine passion, desire, and strength? The passion for design work and the outdoors, the desire to be a wide-eyed kid playing in the dirt again, and perhaps my greatest strength, working with my hands. That reignited gardening for me, and so Feral Garden Lady was born.
